With the Pines in 2024

A new year and new pines: I ended up with an obvious choice, the two pine trees growing on the shore in Kaivopuisto park, with Harakka Island in the background, are a landmark familiar to many people. And there is a boulder to sit on during conversations next to them. With the help of these two pine trees and the book edited by David Richardson, The Ecology and Biogeography of Pinus (Cambridge University Press 1998), I am going to study pines this year.
