During my one-week stay on Örö my main aim was to somehow conclude the three-year project Pondering with Pines. And I did that despite the initial chock, when I realised I had forgotten my camera battery charger at home. There was enough power left for three short video clips with a few words of thank you to the old sculptural pine on the western shore that I have performed with before. The pine served as the representative for all the beautiful, twisted, resilient and remarkable Örö pines. I also invented a way of attaching my Iphone on the camera tripod with a clip I found in the toolbox and made some experiments that way. Thus I managed to create a small Epilogue with a pine I had never performed with before (see image above) and add a crossfade to an image of the military remains next to it, some kind of base for artillery, I suppose (see image below). One week is a very short time, but enough to calm down thanks to the silence, darkness, clean air and simple life on the island.
