Is it too late to start talking with trees?

That was the title of my presentation at the SAR (Society for Artistic Research) conference Too early – Too late in Trondheim, Norway, on 19-21 April, see conference website. The material related to my contribution is available online here. I also participated in a conversation about urgent issues related to the development of JAR (Journal for Artistic Research), which I have been involved in from the beginning. The image above is from a short video created for that conversation.

Another important event, which I have not written about here, the symposium Approaching Plants: Studying Human-Plant Relations Beyond Disciplines, took place a month before, 23-24 March, in Würzburg, Germany, organised by University of Würzburg in their Botanical Garden. My brief presentation, which also used a podcast episode as an example, is available online, here.

Besides participating in such events I continue my pod cast episodes Pondering with the Pine in the Park, here, my Sunday conversations in Finnish with the pine in Seurasaari Island, here, and also the exchange in Swedish between the pines in Helsinki (here) and Stockholm (here). Thus, I hope it is not too late to start talking with trees…
