Only one week in Stockholm in March – though what a week, sun every day! During the week I have visited the pine in Nobelparken daily and continued the practice that I began in January and have documented with still images on the RC (here). Additionally I recorded a conversation with the pine in Lill-Jansskogen that I talked with in February (see image above). The conversations or monologues are available both as videos and as transcripts on the RC (here). I also made them into two new episodes in English for the podcast Talking with Trees – Puhetta Puille – Talar med träd, here . Besides these planned works I began a completely new experiment, which consists of small impromptu ‘ponderings’ or spoken field notes in English. The choice of language is due to the app that does the transcribing. I have added them both as recordings and as transcripts on the RC (here). I would also like to find some new ways to approach pine trees, to avoid the last of the pitfalls Prudence Gibson listed in her talk at the recent Phytogenesis conference, anthropomorphising the plant subject.
